Business Scenario
A global beverage manufacturer partners with multiple independent bottlers across regions to produce and distribute its portfolio of beverages. Close collaboration with these bottlers is critical for optimizing plant performance, improving operational efficiency, and meeting sustainability objectives. However, operations data with the bottler was fragmented, inconsistent, and often siloed across disparate systems. Performance tracking relied on a third-party vendor platform that hosted and visualized bottler data. While this provided partial visibility, it limited direct access and control for the manufacturer.
Sigmoid Solution
Sigmoid partnered with the client to design and implement a custom data clean room platform hosted within the client’s Azure Databricks environment with complete ownership and control of data and governance. The implementation began with a comprehensive review of existing bottler datasets, existing KPIs, and data validation rules. Our team worked closely with the client’s operations team to finalize new KPI definitions, establish calculation logic, and design data models for performance benchmarking on operational metrics such as energy consumption, water usage and efficiency. The data clean room enforced privacy-by-design principles and ensured secure handling of sensitive bottler data.
